Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. You'll uphold our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, humane pet conditions, and immediate response to sick/injured animals, including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to store metrics.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy, noisy environments.
