Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive experiences. This full-time role in our Brighton store involves grooming, customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
• Manage pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
• Drive salon sales through merchandise/service promotions to meet targets.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily/end-of-day maintenance, and respond to pet health issues.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart’s Salon Academy certification. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, verbal/written communication, and composure under pressure are key. Proficiency in computers, plus physical demands: lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
