Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive experiences. This full-time role in our Broken Arrow store involves grooming, customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this fast-paced, pet-loving environment.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stoop, kneel, and handle pets in a wet, noisy salon with moderate pet hair exposure. Depth perception and composure under pressure required.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend solutions.
- Manage appointments, check-ins/outs, records, and reminder calls.
- Drive salon sales targets through merchandise and service promotion.
- Uphold cleanliness via daily maintenance checklists; respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion required. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and safety focus essential. Thrive in team settings, react calmly under pressure, and embrace our policies.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via check-in/out, consultations, reservations
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety standards
- Promote sales of merchandise, services, and wellness solutions
- Identify and respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments as needed
