Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in Brookfield, Wisconsin, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats. Engage pet parents, ensure pet health/safety, and drive salon success while upholding PetSmart's vision and values. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and positive experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, questions, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation, humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day cleaning; address sick/injured pets immediately.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, participate in team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), stand/walk, stoop/kneel, work in wet/noisy/pet hair environments with animals.
