Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Brooklyn, NY location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales targets in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend merchandise/services to boost sales.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold highest cleanliness/sanitation standards; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health; transport sick/injured pets to vet as needed and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
- Prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy certification.
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays; physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.
