Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Buffalo, NY location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service, salon operations, and pet safety responsibilities in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services/merchandise, and drive salon sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy training. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
