Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety standards, and sales growth in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Manage pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues and transport to vet if needed.
- Assist other departments and promote company culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
