Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Burien, WA location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. Share responsibility for salon operations, cleanliness, and driving sales in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and foster a culture of recognition and belonging.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
