Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensures pet safety, and builds lasting pet parent relationships. This hands-on role in our Burlington store demands grooming expertise, customer focus, and flexibility for evenings/weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, records, and reminder calls.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane pet conditions; respond to health issues including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's values of belonging and recognition.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, organize efficiently, and communicate effectively. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy, noisy environments.
