Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services while prioritizing pet health, safety, and customer satisfaction. Based in Burnaby, British Columbia, this role involves full grooming menus, client consultations, salon operations, and sales growth in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, humane pet conditions, and immediate response to sick/injured animals.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
