Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Groomers (Pet Stylists) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and parent satisfaction. Based in Calgary, Alberta, this role involves full grooming menus, client consultations, salon maintenance, and sales promotion in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services/products, and handle reservations/check-ins.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, monitor pet health, and escalate issues like injuries promptly.
- Drive salon sales through upselling and achieve productivity targets.
- Participate in store-wide support and uphold company values.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Must have computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in wet/noisy conditions with animals.
