Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer service in a fast-paced retail environment at our Calgary, Alberta location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on services, recommend wellness solutions
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, client records, and sales promotion
- Maintain salon cleanliness and report sick/injured pets immediately
- Assist other departments and follow all company policies
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training with safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and excellent communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
