Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylists (Dog Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring pet health, safety, and satisfaction. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement to uphold our vision of best-in-class pet care in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and drive salon sales targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health emergencies.
- Assist other store departments and participate in team recognition initiatives.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), strong organization, communication, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
