Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health, safety, and cleanliness standards. This dynamic role combines hands-on pet care with customer interaction in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions, manage check-in/out, reservations, and client records.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations, promotions, and achieving productivity targets.
- Maintain impeccable salon sanitation, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health emergencies.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
