Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding pet health/safety standards. This dynamic role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend/sell services and merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and safety; respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training plus Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and work flexible hours. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling pets in a fast-paced, pet-hair-filled environment.
