Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Uphold PetSmart's standards for pet health, safety, and salon excellence while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per company protocols.
• Consult with pet parents on pet needs, recommend wellness products/services, and drive salon sales targets.
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking to optimize pet parent experience.
• Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness/sanitation; monitor pet health and transport to vet if needed.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and foster a culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling pets in a noisy, wet environment with pet hair exposure.
