Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds top standards for pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service to drive salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, consultations, reminder calls.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Monitor pet health; transport to vet if needed; assist other store departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Must have computer proficiency, strong communication/organizational skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment with moderate noise and wet conditions.
