Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Carmel, IN store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and promote sales to meet targets.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; respond to sick/injured pets including vet transport.
- Greet clients, assist departments as needed, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, work in wet/noisy environments with animals.

- Manage salon operations: check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and reminder calls

- Drive salon sales targets and participate in store-wide duties
