Role Overview
As a Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) in our Carmichael, CA salon, you'll engage pet parents, deliver best-in-class services, and uphold our vision for pet health, safety, and positive experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness while promoting sales and wellness solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Recommend health/wellness solutions; promote merchandise/services to hit sales targets.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, questions, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to sick/injured pets; assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands: Lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, exposure to wet/hair/noise environments, handle live animals.
