Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebooking
• Handle check-in/out, reservations, and salon promotions
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions
• Respond to pet health issues and assist other departments as needed

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
