Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. This role upholds PetSmart's vision through expert grooming, safety standards, and sales growth in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and rebook appointments.
- Manage salon operations: greetings, check-in/out, reminder calls, client records.
- Drive sales by recommending merchandise/services to meet targets.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness; respond to pet health issues and assist departments.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification. Must excel in computer use, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organization, and communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, exposure to pets/noise/wet areas.
