Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs and recommend services/merchandise to boost sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Uphold salon cleanliness, pet health/safety; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Excel in high-pressure settings with strong organization, communication, and computer skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise/water. Flexible scheduling essential.
