Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon management, and sales to uphold our high standards of pet care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services like baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services, and drive salon sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Collaborate across departments and promote our culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-filled environments.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards
- Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions and upsell services/merchandise
- Manage salon operations including check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness, pet safety, and respond to pet health emergencies
- Drive salon sales targets and participate in store-wide support duties
