Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This full-time role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend solutions, and promote services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist customers in-person and via phone.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Monitor pet health, transport sick/injured pets to vets as needed, and support other store areas.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must excel in high-pressure environments, possess computer proficiency, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets, water, and noise.
