Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Chesterfield, MI location, you'll deliver exceptional salon services for dogs and cats, engage pet parents, and uphold the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role offers flexibility and the chance to build lasting client relationships in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on services, recommend wellness solutions, and drive sales
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon sanitation and respond to pet health issues immediately
- Promote salon growth and assist other departments as needed
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
