Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement in our Chino location.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise to meet pet needs.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Monitor pet health; transport sick/injured pets to vet as needed and assist other departments.
- Promote salon sales to hit targets and participate in company culture/policies.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety/detail, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure.
