Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through skilled grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on health/wellness solutions and recommend services/merchandise.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions; perform daily/end-of-day maintenance.
- Monitor pet health, transport sick/injured pets to vet as needed; assist other departments.
- Promote sales to meet targets and participate in our inclusive culture.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure.
