Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Cincinnati, Ohio location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon operations, and sales growth in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and rebookings.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues by transporting to vets as needed.
• Drive salon sales through recommendations, merchandise upselling, and achieving productivity targets.
• Assist other departments, follow company policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Experience & Skills

Requires prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
