Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive experiences. This full-time role in our City of Industry store involves grooming expertise, customer engagement, and salon operations to uphold our vision, mission, and values.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet environments with pet hair and moderate noise. Exposure to live animals and mechanical parts; reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu and standalone services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend health solutions, promote sales, and achieve salon metrics.
- Manage pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls.
- Maintain salon cleanliness via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
- Prior grooming or PetSmart Salon Academy certification.
- Computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling.
- Strong organization, communication, and safety focus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and merchandise
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety standards
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and client communications
- Identify and respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments
