Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in Clifton Park, NY, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon operations, sales growth, and upholding company values.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness solutions, and promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, reminder calls, client records, and rebooking.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation via daily checklists; respond to pet health issues.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and foster a culture of recognition.
Experience & Skills
- Prior grooming or 6 months PetSmart Stylist in Training with Salon Academy certification/technical evaluation.
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and safety focus.
- Flexible for evenings/weekends/holidays; physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, work in pet hair/wet environments.
