Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Clive, Iowa location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness and contribute to sales targets in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Engage pet parents in-person/phone/register to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive sales.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and respond to pet health issues including vet transport.
• Promote services/merchandise, rebook clients, and assist other departments as needed.
• Uphold company policies, safety protocols, and culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion/safety certification. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair/wet environment with moderate-high noise and live animal exposure. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, holidays mandatory.
