Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences and upholding pet health, safety, and cleanliness standards. This hands-on role in our Clovis store combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement to drive salon success.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on health/wellness needs and recommend solutions.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Promote sales of merchandise/services to meet targets; assist other departments as needed.
• Respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet if required.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion/certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, attention to safety, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
