Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylists (Dog Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services while prioritizing pet health, safety, and customer satisfaction. This hands-on role in our Cobourg store involves full-service grooming, client consultations, and maintaining a pristine salon environment in a fast-paced pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Engage pet parents to recommend wellness solutions, manage appointments, and drive salon sales targets.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond immediately to pet health issues, including vet transport if needed.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and rebooking while promoting merchandise.
• Collaborate across departments and uphold PetSmart's culture of belonging and safety protocols.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays), strong organization, attention to safety, and superior communication skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
