Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and cleanliness. This role combines technical grooming expertise with outstanding customer service to drive positive outcomes and salon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Recommend wellness solutions and promote merchandise to meet pet needs and sales goals.
- Handle pet parent interactions: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, consultations, and reminder calls.
- Maintain salon sanitation through daily cleaning and ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and certification. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, organizational skills, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment with moderate noise and wet conditions.
