Role Overview

As a Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) in College Station, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering best-in-class salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness, pet health, and safety standards. Enjoy flexibility in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Essential Physical Demands

Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs). Exposed to wet environments, pet hair, moderate-to-high noise, and live animals. Specific vision for depth perception required.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform full grooming menu and standalone services per PetSmart standards.
• Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
• Manage pet parent interactions: greet, answer questions, handle reservations, check-in/out, rebooking.
• Maintain salon maintenance checklist, ensure humane conditions, and respond to sick/injured pets.
• Participate in store culture, follow policies, assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

• Prior grooming or 6 months Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification.
• Computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays).
• Strong organization, attention to safety/detail, communication skills.
