Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds pet health, safety, and cleanliness standards. Based in Colorado Springs, CO, this role offers flexibility and impact in a dynamic retail setting surrounded by pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart protocols.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, rebooking.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist departments, and embody company values.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must excel in computer use, stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and lift 50+ lbs. Flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays essential; physical demands include standing, stooping, exposure to wet/hair-filled environments and moderate noise.
