Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon success through exceptional grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend products, and upsell services to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions; perform daily maintenance.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification. Must be computer-proficient, organized, communicative, and flexible with evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet hair/wet environments with moderate noise.
