Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist), you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering best-in-class salon services while upholding company vision, mission, values, and safety standards. Share responsibility for salon cleanliness, pet health, and positive experiences.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in wet environments with pet hair and moderate noise. Exposure to live animals common; reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming menu and standalone services per PetSmart standards.
- Recommend health/wellness solutions and sell merchandise/services to meet sales targets.
- Handle pet parent check-ins, check-outs, reservations, reminder calls, and consultations.
- Maintain salon sanitation via daily checklists; respond to sick/injured pets.
- Assist other departments and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
- Prior grooming or 6 months Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification.
- Computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling.
- Strong organization, attention to safety, communication skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including bath, brush, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Manage pet parent interactions, reservations, check-in/out procedures
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety standards
- Promote salon sales, recommend merchandise and services
- Identify and respond to sick/injured pets, assist other departments
