Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This hands-on role upholds PetSmart’s standards for pet health, safety, and salon excellence while driving sales and client satisfaction in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and teeth brushing.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness needs, recommend services, and promote merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client records.
- Maintain impeccable salon cleanliness and humane conditions; respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart’s values of belonging and recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must excel in high-pressure settings, possess computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing for shifts, and working in pet-heavy environments. Flexible scheduling required.
