Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. Based in Concord, California, this role offers flexibility and the chance to do what you love in a supportive pet-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and manage salon operations including reservations and check-ins.
- Drive salon sales through recommendations and merchandise promotion.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene and respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Participate in team efforts across departments and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Requires prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in a pet-filled environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care
- Engage pet parents, manage appointments, check-ins, check-outs, and rebookings
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety standards
- Recommend and sell health products and services to meet sales targets
- Monitor pet health, respond to emergencies, and assist other departments as needed
