Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, engages with pet parents, and upholds the highest standards of pet health, safety, and salon cleanliness. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer service and sales to drive positive outcomes for pets and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Recommend wellness solutions and promote merchandise/services
- Manage pet parent interactions, reservations, check-ins/outs
- Maintain salon sanitation and respond to pet health issues
- Drive salon sales and productivity metrics
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart’s 6-month Salon Academy training required. Proficiency in computer applications, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends essential. Must handle physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment.
