Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylists (Dog Groomers) deliver best-in-class salon services while prioritizing pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This hands-on role combines technical grooming skills with customer engagement in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend products, and upsell services to meet sales targets.
• Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and client record maintenance.
• Ensure salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond immediately to pet health issues, including vet transport if needed.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking groomers with prior experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Salon Academy training and safety certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), standing, stooping, and working in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
