Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role combines hands-on grooming expertise with customer engagement, salon maintenance, and sales growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on health solutions, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, and reminder calls.
• Promote salon sales, recommend merchandise, and achieve productivity targets.
• Uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and pet safety; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
• Assist other departments and participate in company culture initiatives.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or successful completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program with Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong organization, attention to safety, and communication skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet-filled, sometimes noisy/wet environment.
