Role Overview
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers best-in-class salon services while ensuring pet health, safety, and positive pet parent experiences. This full-time role in our Dallas location involves grooming expertise, customer engagement, and salon operations in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, promote services/merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, client records, and reminder calls for seamless experiences.
- Maintain salon cleanliness/sanitation; respond to pet emergencies including vet transport.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to store metrics.
Experience & Skills
Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as PetSmart Stylist in Training with successful Salon Academy completion and safety certification. Must have computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong organization, communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
