Role Overview
As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) at our Decatur store, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats. Engage pet parents, ensure pet health and safety, and drive salon success through exceptional grooming and customer service. This role offers flexibility and variety in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full grooming services per PetSmart standards
- Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions and rebook appointments
- Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and humane pet conditions
- Handle check-in/out procedures, sales register, and reminder calls
- Promote merchandise/services to meet sales targets
- Respond to pet health issues and assist other departments as needed
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or completion of PetSmart's Salon Academy. Must have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling for evenings/weekends/holidays, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing
- Engage pet parents to recommend services and products
- Manage check-in/out, reservations, and client records
- Maintain salon cleanliness and pet safety standards
- Drive salon sales and achieve productivity targets
