Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction while driving salon sales and maintaining top cleanliness standards. This hands-on role suits animal lovers with grooming expertise ready to thrive in a fast-paced store.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
• Consult with pet parents on wellness solutions, recommend merchandise, and upsell services to meet sales goals.
• Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and client records; greet and assist customers in-person and via phone.
• Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, and ensure humane pet conditions.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed, and support other store departments.

Experience & Skills

Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion (6 months training). Need computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a pet hair-filled, noisy environment with live animals.
