Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog/Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive pet parent experiences. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and company standards while recommending wellness solutions. This hands-on role involves physical work with pets in a fast-paced salon setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Greet pet parents, manage reservations, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and client records.
- Promote sales of merchandise/services to meet targets; recommend health solutions based on pet needs.
- Maintain salon sanitation, perform daily/end-of-day cleaning, ensure humane pet conditions.
- Identify and address sick/injured pets, assist other departments, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- Prior grooming experience or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy certification.
- Computer proficiency, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays.
- Strong organization, attention to safety/detail, composure under pressure, communication skills.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50+ lbs (team lift 100+), handle pets in wet/noisy environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.
