Role Overview
PetSmart Pet Stylists (Dog/Cat Groomers) deliver exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and parents. This role upholds our vision of pet health, safety, and satisfaction in a dynamic retail environment. Located in Dickinson, TX, you'll work in a supportive store focused on community pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming menu: baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, sanitary services per PetSmart standards.
- Consult with pet parents on needs, recommend wellness products, and drive salon sales.
- Handle check-ins/outs, reservations, reminder calls, and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure salon cleanliness, perform daily maintenance, and respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and promote our culture of inclusion.
Experience & Skills
Require prior grooming experience or successful PetSmart Salon Academy completion/technical evaluation. Must have computer skills, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational prowess, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in pet-heavy, noisy settings with reasonable accommodations available.
