Role Overview

As a Pet Groomer (Pet Stylist) in our Douglas, Georgia location, you'll deliver best-in-class salon services for dogs and cats while ensuring pet health, safety, and exceptional pet parent experiences. This role combines technical grooming expertise with customer engagement and salon operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care.
• Consult with pet parents on pet needs, recommend wellness solutions, and upsell merchandise/services to meet sales goals.
• Handle salon operations: greet clients, manage appointments, check-ins/outs, reminder calls, and maintain accurate records.
• Uphold salon cleanliness and safety through daily maintenance, end-of-day checklists, and immediate action on pet health issues.
• Collaborate across departments, follow company policies, and contribute to a positive store environment.

Experience & Skills

Prior grooming experience required, or 6 months as Stylist in Training with PetSmart Salon Academy completion. Must demonstrate composure under pressure, computer proficiency, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
