Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) delivers exceptional salon services, ensuring positive experiences for pets and pet parents. This role upholds cleanliness, safety, and company standards while driving salon success through expert grooming and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute full grooming services per PetSmart standards, including baths, brushes, nail trims, and sanitary care.
- Consult with pet parents on health solutions, recommend services, and upsell merchandise to meet sales goals.
- Handle salon operations: greetings, reservations, check-in/out, reminder calls, and record maintenance.
- Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, perform daily cleaning, and ensure pet welfare, including vet transport if needed.
- Collaborate across departments and embody PetSmart's values of belonging and recognition.
Experience & Skills
Seeking groomers with prior experience or completion of PetSmart's 6-month Stylist in Training program and Salon Academy certification. Must demonstrate computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational precision, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and working in a pet-filled environment.
